Orbiday privacy policy

Orbiday works without an account and without an internet connection. It has no server of ours, no advertising and no third-party analytics SDK.

What the app stores on your device

• Jobs, hourly rates, pay periods, shift types, shifts, statuses, notes and reminder settings that you enter.
• App settings such as theme, language, week start and 24-hour time.
• Two local counters used to see whether the app is actually useful: whether a usable calendar was completed, and whether Pro was unlocked or the Pro link was opened. They stay on the device and are not sent anywhere.

What can leave your device, and only when you choose it

• Backup, CSV, PDF and calendar files. You pick the destination with Android's own file picker and you are responsible for the file afterwards.
• Calendar sync (optional). If you turn it on, Orbiday writes your shift times, shift names and job names as events into the phone calendar you choose. If that calendar belongs to an account such as Google, that account syncs the events under its own terms. Pay and private notes are never written. Stopping the sync can also remove the events it created.
• Feedback e-mail (optional). The Feedback button opens your e-mail app with the app version, Android version, device model and language prefilled. Nothing is sent until you send it.

Permissions

• Notifications — to show shift reminders.
• Exact alarms — so an alarm-style reminder rings at the right minute.
• Calendar (read) — only if you ask to see your personal events beside your shifts. Those events are displayed, never stored in the app or in backups.
• Calendar (write) — only if you turn on calendar sync.

Orbiday has no internet permission. You can revoke any permission in Android Settings.

Children

Orbiday is a work tool for adults. It is not directed at children and collects nothing about them.

Payments

There are no purchases, subscriptions or ads in the app. Orbiday Pro is unlocked free with one tap while the app is in early access. If a paid version is added later, this policy is updated first.

Deleting your data

Clear the app's data or uninstall Orbiday in Android Settings; everything the app stored is gone. Files you exported and events written into another calendar must be deleted separately — the Stop button in Calendar sync can remove the events it created.

Changes

If data practices change, this page is updated before the new version is published, and the date at the top changes.
